Panerai Luminor Submersible (Ref. PAM 00024)

Panerai was founded in 1860 in Florence, Italy, by Giovanni Panerai. Initially, the company focused on producing precision instruments, such as compasses and depth gauges, for the Italian Navy.
In the early 20th century, Panerai developed a luminous paint called "Radiomir" that was used to coat watch dials, allowing them to be visible in low-light conditions. This development led to the creation of the Radiomir watch, characterized by its large cushion-shaped case and legible dial. Later, in the 1950s, Panerai introduced a new luminous material, tritium-based, and patented a crown-protecting device called the "Luminor" which became a defining feature of their watches.
